Gareth Dickson has been English cult singer-songwriter Vashti Bunyan's touring guitarist for years. He also collaborated with Max Richter and Juana Molina. Since 2005, the Scottish young man has also had his own solo career. Fragile and melancholic, his folk music exudes a remarkable atmospheric sound, rising from his acoustic guitar.
Frequently compared to Nick Drake (same vulnerability, and even the same tone of voice), Dickson evokes the languor of the sombre English folk hero and also the instrumental magnificence of Labradford.
7ème Ciel was delighted to welcome this talented musician who has just released his 5th album, Quite A Way Away.
Fiodor Dream Dog is Tatiana Mladenovitch, a multi-instrumentalist and outstanding drummer. As well as participating both on the records and at the concerts of Theo Hakola and Bertrand Belin, and being involved in theatre and dance work, Mladenovitch released her first Fiodor Dream Dog album, I Lose Things, in 2009. It was recently followed by Second Of Joy, a record that confirmed Tatiana's talent for writing bold pop songs.
Cheeky yet genuine, Fiodor Dream Dog displays a multitude of influences to make brilliant songs. For her 7ème Ciel concert, Tatiana was accompanied by The Skips (Vincent Mougel, Katel and Diane Sorel) as well as Maissiat and JP Nataf.
