Bobin Eirth, often billed as B'eirth or B'ee, is a leading figure in psychedelic folk. Along with a revolving cast of friends, the American singer-songwriter has recorded under the pseudonyms In Gowan Ring and Birch Book since the mid-90s.
His albums as Birch Book are a departure from In Gowan Ring's psychedelic sound. The music is less abstract. Its direct song-based approach rooted in poetic folk traditions reflects the distillations of a perennial rambler taking a road less travelled.
After spending many months touring this side of the Atlantic Ocean with Swedish band Lisa o Piu, Birch Book's final European stop was the Parisian rooftop of 7ème Ciel.
With a concert that lasted for over two hours, one of the most talented folk musicians of his generation captivated the 7ème Ciel audience. He played songs from his three Birch Book albums: Birch Book, Fortune & Folly and freshly released A Hand Full Of Days.
