LES CONCERTS DU 7ÈME CIEL - SEASON 2

OROUNI | MICHAEL WOOKEY
July 05, 2009

After releasing their first record in 2006, Orouni returned last year with Jump Out The Window, an album full of melodic and sunny pop and folk songs, featuring Mlie and Mina Tindle on vocals.

Ukuleles, organs, xylophone, tambourine and toy piano fill the inventive songs of Orouni, inviting us to escape to somewhere more beautiful and unfamiliar.

Since the age of 15, Paris-based English singer-songwriter Michael Wookey has created music using guitars, pianos, accordions and a large collection of broken instruments and children's toys. His music is a bitter-sweet cabaret that could easily be home to Pascale Comelade and CocoRosie.

Having performed his first and second album, Dreams Of You and You Shield Me From Darkness at the first season of 7ème Ciel, we were delighted to welcome him back to hear material from the new full-lenght that he was working on entitled Gun Gala.

7ème Ciel also opened its doors to MADmois'LL, an artist whose androgynous creatures enrapture both the hearts of children and adults. The walls of 7ème Ciel were adorned with drawings by the young artist.
