Two years ago Goodbye Ivan made quite a sensation with the soundtrack of CLIM8, an odissey about the climate crises directed by American filmmakers Katherin Machalek and Raine Vivian.
Switzerland-based French composer and multi-instrumentalist Arnaud Sponar, aka Goodbye Ivan, is back with Rêverie, an intimate piano-driven record that gently wraps around the listener like a veil. It is his 6th solo album.
Recorded at La Savonnerie studio in the Belgian capital, the record overflows with melodic, haunted wafting synthetics that effortlessly shift into ambient electronic overload.
The expanded two-disc edition of Rêverie includes Rêverie Discomposed, an album of remixes by eleven artists including the legendary post-rockers Rothko, dark electro producer Play/Pause, techno artist Audio Pervert and folk musician The Sleeping Years.
The two-disc set is available as a 6-panel digisleeve. Rêverie and Rêverie Discomposed are available separately in digital formats.
