Originally from Australia, the members of HELIGOLAND moved to France in 2007 for the release of their promising second album, A street between us.
Normally appearing as a full electric group, Heligoland's sound is like a beautiful dream that leaves you wondering if you're awake or not. However, the trio (Karen Vogt on vocals, accompanied by her two partners Dave Olliffe and Stéphane Pigneul on guitar) came to 7ème Ciel to play an acoustic concert so that we could hear material from All Your Ships are White, the new album that they were working on. It’s an album produced and recorded by ROBIN GUTHRIE, one of their major influences.
As well as the music of Heligoland, we also welcomed the photographer PHILIPPE MARGEAULT for an exhibition of some of his large photos.
